Steve and Helen Scoles had a mountain of analogue music gear and a deep regret that Severed Heads never made it back to Florida on the last few tours. The consolation prize was a jam on offer at their place any time, but it was only after Severed Heads died that the jam began. The deal was - I'll produce it and holler over the top, so long as a MC202 Bassline is never NEVER included.

We presented the ButchCrutch EP in April 2020 as work in motion. Three tracks here include my yelling and hooting random things over the top, which we recorded in way less than an hour. "Vista" was entirely produced by the Scoles without my ruining it.

In April 2021 exhausted and happy we presented the "Ebolaball" album crafted throughout the pandemic years. Again I hooted and hollered over their rig and they were tolerant. Mostly. This time I even tried some lyrics.

"London Bridge" was a single recorded for a company in New York that sounded like the real thing but... shrug. The New York minute. Some dark things with family were going down in Clearwater that meant it was a sad song. ButchCrutch had to break up.

We wanted to do a live show on the Mega Bite on Clearwater Beach. But life got a bit crazy and the kids split up and it might be 2023 that we finally meet up with Steve at GATORLAND. And jam some - ready or not.

In the meantime we have some more Tikis (coming soon) and the six postcards from Clearwater mentioned in 'Moose'. These and the multi panel PDF sleeve feature artwork by Tara Ellard. (Other mysterious scribbles on the cards explain some things we couldn't talk about.)
