We find in this album the richness and the specificity of Severed Heads: an inimitable sound, made of an apparent and disorderly ease behind which hides strange, oppressive and sometimes agonizing atmospheres. Who is a fan of Severed Heads, is a fan of Tom Ellard, one of the greatest electro musicians of all time

jeremy keens I don't know when an album is Ellard or severed's, but this is a great set of more recent Heads-like songs, with some lovely ambient tracks at the end.

experimentalfan This is a good release from Ellard, but by no means his strongest work. I have listened to the selections repeatedly and cannot find cohesiveness throughout the album, something that is typically sound with every release from Ellard/Severed Heads. Some tracks are great beginnings, but do not seem finished works: Leave White Behind and Medicate Endlessly for example. Despite my admissions, this is Ellard and his work must be heard and appreciated by more people whom enjoy clever music. Favorite track: The Best of Everything.

Synthx It's fleeping disturbing. I love it. Favorite track: Publicist.

boweryboy The first :16 to :39 seconds of "Thinner" is simply aurally perfect. Ellard continues his exploration of the pop territory he mined on Rhine with a much more refined collection of somewhat unsettling highly addictive songs. A must listen for any Ellard/SevHeads fan. "They chop off your ear..." What!? Favorite track: Thinner.

Publicist 03:22
I saw the body float down the stairs. It's the same on the other page, it's the same as before. And I push, and I turn and I pan it around but it's below what I want from myself it's the below what I came to expect. So boo hoo.
2.
Dogs 04:14
Up above the cloudy towers dogs look down and wonder where their balls have gone. And they'd really like to know when your bones are going to show up here. Hunt the hellfire, catch the missile, games you play alone but BOW WOW! They'd truly like to know when the mushroom glow will slow. And they'd truly like to know when your bones are going to show up here. And because they love you dearly they'd like just to see you clearly they'd like just to touch your hairs they'd like just to share the air.

She's the girl that makes the play takes the forest all the way. Heading upwards, always upwards this girl Hell will heed your high heels. So look at you now, so fine, so pale in the face six feet down in an unknown place. The facts are starker the night is darker things not going quite so well. Hush now don't you cry I'll tell you why the best of everything in hell it waits down on your stairs and it's pulling your hair it says 'let me in'. And you know it's true it comes for you the best of everything. Burn burn burn again And In the beginning was the word and the word was girl but the girl fell down and wasn't at all. The moral clearly the payment dearly exceeds the edges of the world and your word has come to zero

Stumbles 04:35
Water in the mouth is open Open to a downward motion Eyes are closed the problem also Down tonight for the good Fleet of foot and striding over Over night the end is chosen Water in the mouth is open Open to a downward motion Eyes are closed the problem also Down down down

Thinner 03:56
Here in the green fatigues unlocking gravity falls to the will of you. Colours shift higher than higher than yesterday way to the kingdom come. Your breath flows in Your breath flows out again Your breath flows in Your breath flows out again Flows in Flows out again

Here's what I'm thinking up on the ceiling Medicate endlessly You many find your hands are working up your throat and out again and the clock on the wall says nothing at all Here's my gestures scraped in a corner Medicate endlessly You many find your hands are working up your throat and out again and the clock on the wall says 4 or 5 or 6 will do Here's a Tuesday later than usual Medicate endlessly You many find your hands are working up your throat and out again Here's my fuck up bigger than usual Medicate Endlessly Here's what I'm thinking up on the ceiling Medicate endlessly You many find your hands are working up your throat and out again and the clock on the wall is gone

And down at the mall there are no walls at all and the shelving shakes. Or out on the road the load falls through your waiting hands what did you expect? And back at your home and the mirror shows you're not alone 'cause your mother's there. Please don't worry don't you worry they're just afraid of you. And it's Christmas time and you're doing fine except the room is beginning to fade away And you're back in the womb in line for another go the race from here to the tomb.

The stars spin round. The wind flows, and flows, and flows. The stars spin round. And the moon curled up in the trees it calls you upward. So you fly, and fly, and leave white behind. The stars spin round.
