da5idh No one does perky pop with an edge quite like Tom. Tbf some bits show their age, but it's so much more than the sum of parts and Wonder of all the World still gives the shivers. Transcendent stuff. Favorite track: Ugly Twenties.

brsmith18 One of the most beautiful electronic music pieces of all time. Favorite track: Wonder of all the World.

Peter Hollo Such a classic from my early years.
It's a shame that Tom's tinkered with these mid-period albums quite a bit. But the best tracks do remain on here, plus a few great bonuses. Favorite track: Golden Height / I'm your Antidote.

markkil my twenties weren't nearly anywhere near as ugly as my thirties Favorite track: Ugly Twenties.

Demo version > final release estrogen version. That angular, groovy uninterrupted synth bass against the thumping kick bass is awesome. Tom’s use of piano is always good!
Pilot, Tingler, Life in a whale, Ottoman and Wonder are other highlights. Favorite track: Estrogen (demo).

about

I guess the last thing the labels expected was an electronic Country and Western album, which it kind of is. Maybe they expected us to do rap. Everyone is doing rap. Why won't you rap!?

This is about the time that European and American music disconnected after about a decade of cooperation. The yanks just dumped it and the local label tried to remix it (see Twister / Retread). Neither could figure out what the hell to do with it. That's probably a good sign?

Quite some time later I reworked it to take out some mess and add in the 'fussssball' e.p. which came out soon after. But the weirder 'Piscatorial' section is best known these days.
